Description of Service

Calcpace provides free online tools for runners, including a pace calculator, race time predictor, VO2max estimator, performance by age calculator, unit converter, and running guides. All calculators are based on established scientific formulas (Riegel 1977, Cameron, Daniels & Gilbert 1979, WMA 2023). Calcpace is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind.

Acceptable Use

You may use Calcpace for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to: (1) attempt to scrape, crawl, or automate access to our tools in a way that places unreasonable load on our servers; (2) use the service for any unlawful purpose; (3) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure; (4) reproduce, redistribute, or resell any part of Calcpace without written permission.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide a valid email address when registering. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for more than two years.

Disclaimer of Warranties

All calculations provided by Calcpace are estimates based on mathematical models. They are intended as training aids and do not constitute medical or professional sports advice. We are not responsible for any training decisions, injuries, or outcomes resulting from the use of our tools. Always consult a qualified coach or physician before making significant changes to your training plan.

Intellectual Property

All content on Calcpace — including text, code, design, guides, and translations — is the property of Calcpace. The underlying gem (calcpace) is open source under the MIT licence. The web application, its UI, and its content may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Calcpace and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of profits.
