Who We Are

Calcpace is an independent project providing free running performance calculators, including pace calculation, race prediction, VO2max estimation, and performance by age. You can reach us at contact@calcpace.app for any privacy-related questions.

What Data We Collect

We collect different data depending on how you use the site: (1) Visitors who do not create an account — no personal data is collected. Our calculators and guides work entirely in your browser without storing anything on our servers. (2) Registered users — we collect your email address (used only for account authentication and password recovery), and the activity data you voluntarily log (distances, times, dates). We do not collect your name, phone number, or location.

How We Use Your Data

Email addresses are used exclusively for: account authentication, password reset emails, and transactional notifications directly related to your account. We do not send marketing emails. Activity data is used to compute and display your personal performance history. It is never shared with third parties.

Cookies and Local Storage

Calcpace uses a minimal number of cookies. A session cookie is set when you log in — it expires when you close your browser or log out. We also store your unit preference (km/mi) in your browser's local storage so the calculator remembers your choice between visits. No tracking or profiling cookies are set by Calcpace itself.

Advertising and Third-Party Services

Public pages (calculators, guides, race calendar) display ads served by Google AdSense to help cover infrastructure costs. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing history on this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ad Settings or through the consent banner shown on your first visit. The logged-in area of Calcpace is 100% ad-free and tracker-free.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your data with any third party except as required by law (e.g., a valid legal order). Google AdSense operates under its own privacy policy, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy.

Data Retention

Your account and all associated activity data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. You can request account deletion by emailing contact@calcpace.app.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data: the right to access a copy of the data we hold about you; the right to correct inaccurate data; the right to request deletion of your data; the right to restrict or object to processing; the right to data portability.
